Maurice A. Hudson, CPA, MBA brings more than 25 years in diverse tax, financial, and business consulting experience to his firm Hudson & Associates, LLC.
Education, CPA Licenses, Career Background
Maurice earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, Twin Cities. He earned his Masters degree in Business Administration from Hamline University, Twin Cities.
Maurice is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Minnesota. He has vast finance/accounting/tax experience in both the public and private sectors. Maurice also practiced public accounting with one of the “Big 4” accounting firms, Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Maurice has served as a finance leader and was instrumental in the initial public offering for a Minnesota based health & fitness lifestyle company with national operations. Further, Maurice has held CFO, Director, and Corporate Controller positions with international publicly traded and privately held companies. Maurice has service in various industries including, however not limited to the following: construction, retail & wholesale, health & fitness, hospitality, insurance, not-for-profit, high-tech, financial services, governments, and other service-related organizations.

Ron Lamers, CPA

Ron immigrated to the U.S. in 1967 and graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1978 with a B.A. in Accounting. He passed the CPA exams on his first try in 1979 and received his CPA license in 1981 upon completion of the required working experience in public accounting. He became a partner in Hendricks & Lamers, CPA in 1985. The firm moved from Spring Lake Park to Brooklyn Center in 1990. Ron was elected President of the Brooklyn Center Chamber of Commerce in 1993-94 and started Lamers & Lamers, Ltd. in 1997. Ron has worked with small businesses and individuals providing tax, accounting and consultation services. He has also represented hundreds of clients in various state and federal tax audits. Ron has performed in local theater groups and loves attending plays. He enjoys reading, golfing, traveling and being with family. His 22 grandchildren keep him very busy.

Viri has been with Lamers & Lamers since 2015 tax season. She holds a B.A. in Management from the University of Minnesota-Morris and is currently studying her MBA at the University of St. Thomas. She is an entrepreneur at heart, always looking for new businesses to invest in. Her goals are to learn more about accounting and pursue her CPA license in the future. She is fluent in Spanish and does compliance for Spanish-speaking clients around the metro area.
Viri loves to spend time with her husband, her one-year old daughter and their four year-old Havanese puppy, Cheker.
